Disposable Crisis Project & Zuid Magazine – the Sequel

Zuid Magazine interviewed me last year regarding the Disposable Crisis Project I set up. Here’s the pdf to this first article:
ZuidMagazine

As I’m working on the book which is really getting in a good shape for the printing presses they decided to come back to me and make a sequel, right before the book comes out. I’d like to share that with you 🙂 Sorry, Dutch only, don’t have the time to translate it. Life is busy enough as it is and the book needs to be finished! I’m really excited about it as it’s going to be great. I’m still looking for people willing to support this project through a small (or big 🙂 ) donation so that I can pay for the printing of the book. Please feel free to contact me. The book is planned for the end of this year. Should it get too hectic, January 2014.

Once again, thanks to all the people who have made this real!

Support the Disposable Crisis Project

The project is going really well (the one where I send disposable cameras all over the world to people using them to depict the impact of the current financial crisis on their lives, making a book of it with the profits going to the Fair Trade Org.). 165 cameras have been shipped so far (I won’t make the 300 I had in mind when I started but other than that very good!) and I have a couple back already, along with images people made using their own camera. Curious? Check out This Link!

I am still looking for people and companies to help fund this project. Total cost including the making of the book (which will take up most of the budget) is currently being estimated around €15.000,- Needless to say this will be too much for me to pay for on my own. I have set up a sort of level-donation system as can be found on the crowd funding website Kickstarter for example:

You can now choose in which way you’d like to be rewarded for your donations. Each option contains a link to our email. Here you can mention whicn reward you’re interested in and that, if you choose for example the option which includes The Book, I can put you on a list.

Back this project with €1,- or more (96 of 100 remaining)
You don’t need a reward but want to support the project. Eternal Gratefulness will be yours; THANK YOU!

Back this project with €50,- or more (98 of 100 remaining)
You will receive a postcard with one of the images that ends up in the book, covered with our gratitude. Also you will be mentioned on the dedicated sponsor page in the book and website (when desired).

Back this project with €100,- or more (90 of 100 remaining)
You will receive a postcard with one of the images that ends up in the book, covered with our gratitude. On top of that you will receive a free copy of The Book, hardcover, along wth your name mentioned on the dedicated sponsor page in the book and website (when desired).

For companies donating: it’s possible receiving an official receipt for your administration. Shoot us an email if you’d like to have one. You can use the same address in case of questions etc.

I hope you’d like to help me out here and make this project to an even greater success!

“Het Belang van Limburg” & the Disposable Crisis Project

Today the project made it into the Belgian newspaper “Het Belang van Limburg”. I cannot be more happy!

My Disposable Crisis Project made it to the Newspaper!!

Sorry for spamming all of you with this project  but I’m just so happy! Miguel Essers, who also designed the project’s website, introduced it to Stefan Gybels from Dagblad de Limburger / Limburgs Dagblad. I had an appointment with him yesterday to talk about it and he was very enthusiastic about the project. This lead to an article in the newspaper! It’s in Dutch only, sorry!
